Sun Tanning
What are the benefits of indoor sun tanning at EverSun®?
Our sun tanning beds deliver filtered UV light that stimulates your skin to develop a smooth, bronze tan naturally, while delivering a full-body recharge. Many guests describe feeling refreshed and energized after a session. Indoor tanning beds offer a clean, private, and climate-controlled experience, available year-round. Our sunbeds deliver a consistent, measured UV output on a timed schedule, which makes exposure easier to control than unpredictable outdoor sun. Sessions are short and targeted, saving you time while delivering results. Many of our advanced tanning beds allow for skin type customization, so your session can be matched to your skin.
How do Sun Premium, Sun Pro, Sun Plus, and Sun Lite differ?
Sun Premium sunbeds include revolutionary Hybrid Technology, combining UV Light for a deep dark tan and skin rejuvenating LED Red Light! Sun Premium’s K-11 Air sunbed features a SunControl System that allows you to select a perfect mix of UV Light and Red Light rays for a customized experience. Sun Pro is our most diverse level of UV tanning equipment. It features High Pressure, Smart, Luxury and Stand-Up sunbeds. Sun Pro sunbeds promote a fast-developing bronze glow, with options ranging from high-intensity sessions to relaxing experiences with luxury comfort features. Sun Plus sunbeds feature intermediate tanning experience. They’re equipped with built-in high-pressure facial tanners and cooling systems. Sun Lite is our entry-level sunbed that provides a basic tanning experience.
Is indoor tanning safe?
Our sunbeds deliver a consistent, measured UV output on a timed schedule, which makes exposure easier to control than unpredictable outdoor sun. Our sun tanning beds are equipped with accurate timers and emergency stop controls. You may exit the sunbed and end your session at any time. Follow these guidelines to help ensure a safe and responsible tanning experience:
Protective Measures: To prevent eye damage, you must wear FDA-compliant protective eyewear, available at EverSun®, during every session. Protect sensitive areas, including your lips and intimate regions, from sunburn and overexposure.
Frequency and time: FDA requires sunlamp products to carry a manufacturer-recommended exposure schedule and warning label. EverSun’s own policy is one session per 24-hour period, with 48 to 72 hours recommended between sessions. Always follow session time recommendations.
Hydrate, moisturize, and replenish regularly to maintain skin health.
Consult your physician: get a medical clearance if you have ongoing health conditions and concerns. Before tanning, ensure your medications aren’t photosensitive.
How often should I use a sunbed to maintain my tan?
We recommend waiting 48-72 hours between your sunbed treatments to allow the skin to fully respond and reduce the risk of burns or uneven pigmentation.. We recommend tanning 1-3 times per week.
Can sun tanning help with vitamin D deficiency?
UVB exposure supports the skin’s natural production of vitamin D. Like natural sunlight, our sunbeds emit both UVA and UVB light; however, they are not intended to treat medical conditions, including vitamin D deficiency. Please note, our High Pressure sunbed, which delivers an intense bronze boost through concentrated UVA, is our only sunbed that emits virtually no UVB. EverSun® facilities and equipment are not licensed to diagnose or treat medical conditions. For general information on vitamin D, see the NIH Office of Dietary Supplements Vitamin D Fact Sheet: https://ods.od.nih.gov/factsheets/VitaminD-HealthProfessional/
Do I need to use indoor tanning lotions during my sunbed session?
Indoor tanning lotions fall into a few categories. Intensifiers build your base tan with no added color. Natural bronzers add light cosmetic color that washes off. DHA bronzers add cosmetic color that develops further if left on the skin before washing off. Hybrid intensifiers are formulated for both UV and red light sessions. Face lotions are made for facial skin, which is more sensitive than the rest of the body. Prices vary by formula and size, and our TANOLOGY® lotion membership provides one 0.5 oz packet for each sun tanning session for $12.95 per month. Our Salon Consultants can match a product to your skin and your goals.
What kind of indoor tanning lotion should I use for sunbed sessions? Are indoor tanning products expensive?
To prepare for your sunbed tanning session, shave and exfoliate your skin 24–48 hours in advance to ensure a smooth, even surface. Just before your session, apply an SPF lip balm to protect your lips, followed by your facial tanning lotion. Then, apply your tanning lotion evenly across your entire body to hydrate your skin and enhance color development.
Are there any age restrictions for sun tanning at EverSun®?
Age requirements for indoor tanning vary by state. Some states, including California, require clients to be at least 18 years old to use sunbeds. If you’re visiting an EverSun® location outside California, our team can clarify the age guidelines based on your state.
How can I protect my sensitive areas from UV light exposure in the sunbed?
Your lips and intimate areas lack melanin making them prone to sunburn and overexposure. Protect them from UV exposure by applying SPF products or wearing swimwear and a Tanfacia face cover, available at EverSun®.
Why can’t I start with a full-length sunbed session right away? What’s the recommended schedule for building up indoor tanning exposure safely?
To prevent sunburn and overexposure, start low and gradually increase your session time. Your ideal exposure depends on your skin type—darker skin tones may tolerate longer sessions. For your first visit, we recommend starting with just 2–4 minutes. If well tolerated, increase your session time by 1–2 minutes every 48-72 hours.
How can I maintain and enhance my skin’s condition while using sunbeds?
Use EverSun®’s professional products, specially formulated for sunbed user’s skin, to prep and condition your skin before and between sessions. Ask our expert Salon Consultants for recommendations. Adding Red Light Therapy & WellFit Skin Solutions between tans helps boost collagen, promote repair, and balance your skin’s microbiome.

Spray Tanning
What is spray tanning, and how does it work?
Spray tanning is a form of self-tanner, where a fine mist is sprayed onto your body. Mist contains an ingredient called DHA, or Dihydroxyacetone, as well as Erythrulose. These ingredients react with the amino acids in the dead layers of the skin and turn brown. A spray tan is cosmetic color only and provides no sun protection. Use sunscreen as you normally would. Spray tan is a great option for an event or vacation. Also, perfect for fair skinned members. Our convenient automated spray tanning booths deliver a full-body spray tan fast, in under 3 minutes.
How fast does a spray tan develop and how long does it last?
A spray tan’s color develops in 6-24 hours and lasts about 3-10 days. Use EverSun®’s professional prep and daily aftercare products designed to accelerate, enhance, and extend your spray tan results. For best results, avoid showering for at least 6–8 hours after your session—or 4 hours if you’ve used an accelerator, primer, or rapid solution. We do not recommend allowing the solution to dwell on your skin for over 8 hours. This allows full color development and helps your glow last longer.
What are the differences between Mystic Tan and Versa Spa?
All our spray booths deliver a full-body tan in minutes and offer customizable solution options, Airbrush Technology for precise application, heated drying, and a built-in voice guide for a user-friendly experience.
- Mystic Tan is magnetic—literally! It uses MagneTan™ technology for even coverage and offers fun add-ons like scents, accelerators, and bronzers.
- Mystic Kyss features an easy 2-position session and 3 shades of color. Mystic Unity offer precision sensors for an even tan, 2-position session, and 12 shades of color.
- VersaSpa Pro features open booth design, voice guided 4-position process, 4 Levels of color, and 3 solution options.
How should I prepare for a spray tanning session?
For your best, longest-lasting glow: exfoliate and shave 24 hours beforehand to create a smooth canvas. Arrive with clean, product-free skin, no lotion, perfumes, deodorant, or makeup. Right before your session, apply a spray tan enhancing primer to help the color go on evenly. After your spray session, slip into loose, dark clothing to let your glow develop!
Will a spray tan protect me from sunburn?
Nope! Your bronze may be fierce, but it’s not sunscreen! Even though you’ll look gorgeously bronzed, your skin still reacts to the sun just like it normally would. Keep that in mind if you’re planning outdoor time!
Can I choose the shade of my spray tan?
Yes! You can select the depth of your color based on your skin tone, desired look, and event timing. Options range from light for a subtle glow, to dark for a deep, event or vacation-style tan. Choose one of our bronzer enhancers to customize the tone of your spray tan and achieve a more radiant, tailored glow. Our trained team of consultants will help guide you to the best shade for your goals.
How soon before an event should I get a spray tan?
For best results, get your spray tan 1–2 days before your event. This timing allows the color to fully develop and settle, giving you a natural, even glow. It also gives you time for a gentle rinse and any touch-ups if needed—without risking fading from showers, sweat, or skincare products.
Are there any risks associated with spray tanning?
DHA has been approved by the FDA as a color additive for external application to the skin since the 1970s. The FDA advises that DHA should not be inhaled, ingested, or applied to the eyes, lips, or other mucous membranes, and recommends that spray tanning facilities help guests protect those areas. We provide protective eyewear, nose filters, lip balm, and undergarment options at every location, and we recommend using them for every session.
Can pregnant women get spray tans?
Many moms-to-be do spray tan, but we always recommend checking with your doctor first.
How do I maintain my spray tan?
Avoid exfoliants, harsh cleansers, long baths and hot tubs – chlorine and prolonged water exposure are no match for a lasting spray tan. After showering, pat your skin dry instead of rubbing. Use professional spray tan aftercare products daily to moisturize and extend your glow—especially our extending formulas, which contain a dash of DHA to gently restore color lost through daily wear.
How do I touch-up my spray tan?
To keep your spray tan looking fresh between sessions, especially on frequently shaved areas like legs, touch-ups are key. Use our spray-in-a-can for a fine, even mist that mimics your original tan. Hold the can about 6–8 inches from your skin and apply in smooth, sweeping motions. For more control, especially around knees, ankles, or feet, use our tanning mousse. Apply with a mitt in circular motions to blend and build color gradually. If your facial color fades from anti-aging skincare, boost it back with our DHA-based face products. They’re gentle, effective, and designed to restore your glow overnight, without disrupting your routine.
Red Light Therapy
What is red light therapy and how does it benefit the skin?
Red light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses light in the 630-660 nm range. It has been shown in controlled trials to enhance collagen production, improve skin tone, reduce pore size, refine skin’s texture, and visibly firm. Red light therapy will also gently calm and soothe the skin to diminish the appearance of redness and irritation, as well as ease joint and muscle pain for the full body.
How does full-body red light therapy aid in muscle recovery?
Our full-body red light service combines red and near infrared light to aid in muscle recovery as well as reduce aches, pains & joint stiffness. It also enhances blood flow and circulation. Infrared light rays penetrate your body deeper than red light rays, traveling past the surface of the skin reaching down into muscle tissue to boost cellular function and recovery.
Is red light therapy safe for all skin types?
Red Light Therapy is generally considered safe and suitable for all skin types. It’s known to support skin function and restore balance. However, if you have any ongoing skin conditions or concerns, we recommend consulting your healthcare provider before beginning treatment.
How often should I undergo red light therapy sessions?
We recommend red light therapy 3-5 times per week to achieve maximum results. Once desired results are achieved, you may reduce frequency to 1–2 times per week for upkeep.
Can red light therapy help with acne?
Yes, Red Light Therapy can support acne-prone skin by soothing redness, inflammation, and irritation. It also helps boost collagen production, which may help improve the appearance of post-acne scarring. However, for treating active breakouts and preventing future ones, Blue Light Therapy is typically more effective.
Does red light therapy have any side effects?
Red light therapy is generally considered very safe, but minor side effects can occur. Some users experience temporary mild redness or a warm sensation immediately after treatment. Direct exposure to high-intensity red or near-infrared light can cause eye strain or discomfort, we recommend using protective eyewear during the treatment if you’d like to avoid this effect. Headaches occasionally reported, usually in individuals prone to migraines or light sensitivity.
How long is a typical red light therapy session?
Red Light Therapy session lengths vary by device, but typically range from 12 to 20 minutes.
Can I combine red light therapy with other treatments?
Absolutely. Red light therapy can be safely combined with all EverSun® treatments to support your beauty and wellness goals. WellFit Skin Solutions pair especially well with red light therapy. According to the manufacturer, these formulas are designed to complement light-based treatments, supporting collagen, plumping the skin, supporting clearer skin and supporting repair, depending on the specific WellFit solution used. Adding sunbeds to your routine can also promote a radiant glow.
Is there any downtime after red light therapy?
Red light therapy involves no downtime, making it a convenient, non-invasive option for skin rejuvenation and wellness.
How soon will I see results from red light therapy?
Repetition is key when it comes to light therapy. You may notice soothing effects like diminishing irritation and redness after your first few sessions. Anti-aging and pain-relief results typically take 2-8 weeks of consistent use.
What are the benefits of FDA-cleared anti-aging Red Light Photo Facial?
What makes EverSun®’s Red Light Photo Facial unique is that it features LightStim MultiWave technology, which emits multiple wavelengths of light. Its Amber light calms and soothes the skin and helps reduce the appearance of redness. Infrared light supports skin texture and helps reduce the appearance of wrinkles by supporting collagen and elastin in the dermis. Red light in the 630-660 nm range rejuvenates the skin, boosts circulation, and supports collagen and elastin production. Collagen helps plump the skin, while elastin firms it. EverSun®’s Red Light Photo Facial is FDA cleared to target wrinkles, fine lines and signs of aging.
How does SST28 Full-Body Red Light Therapy support skin health and overall wellness?
EverSun®’s Full Body Red Light Therapy uses the highest quality LED’s in a tight configuration to create an intense light energy aimed directly toward the treatment area. It uses a total of 28,433 Red, at 635nm, and Near-Infrared, at 850nm, lights positioned in close proximity to the body for powerful therapeutic results. EverSun®’s Full Body Red Light Therapy is a rejuvenating Photo-Facial for your entire body, designed to enhance radiance and restore youthful glow!
How does combining broadband Red Light Therapy with vibration platform technology improve skin tone, muscle recovery, and boost overall fitness?
EverSun®’s Beauty Angel offers full body red light therapy and a Vibra Shape platform in one treatment. The light treatment works to smooth and firm the skin, while the Vibra Shape platform supports circulation, relieves muscle tension, eases joint stiffness, and improves flexibility. The Vibra Shape platform delivers a seesaw motion that simulates natural walking, activating muscle groups in the legs, arms, abs, and glutes. Beauty Angel is an energizing 12-minute session combining vibration platform activity with red light.
Can I combine Red Light Therapy at EverSun® with invasive skin treatments for enhanced results?
Yes, Red Light Therapy can complement more intensive skin treatments such as microneedling, chemical peels, or laser procedures. It’s known to help calm inflammation, reduce redness, and support healing. However, timing matters—Red Light Therapy should not be used on skin that is raw or unhealed following an aggressive peel. Always wait until the skin has begun to recover and consult your skincare provider to ensure red light is introduced at the right stage of your treatment plan.
Is Red Light Therapy safe to use during plastic surgery recovery?
Red Light Therapy may support healing during plastic surgery recovery by improving circulation, minimizing swelling, and promoting tissue repair. However, it should not be used over raw, unhealed incisions or open wounds. Always follow your surgeon’s guidance before incorporating red light into your post-operative care.
Why is professional red light therapy technology more effective than at-home red light devices?
Professional red light therapy devices, like those used at EverSun®, are clinically tested for safety and efficacy. They deliver precise wavelengths, typically 630-660 nm, that penetrate into the skin to support collagen and elastin production, boost circulation, and support skin repair. In contrast, many consumer-grade devices lack regulatory oversight and may use light sources that haven’t been verified as true red light. Poorly made devices can also pose risks, such as skin irritation or inconsistent light output. For safe, visible results, professional-grade technology is essential.
Blue Light Therapy
What is blue light therapy and how does it work?
Blue light therapy is a non-invasive treatment that uses light at 415 nm to target acne-causing bacteria. It helps regulate oil production, reduce inflammation, and penetrate the upper layers of the skin to kill Cutibacterium acnes and other bacteria that collect in pores and oil glands. EverSun®’s Blue Light Photo Facial Blue light therapy has been shown in clinical studies to reduce mild to moderate acne.
Is blue light therapy effective for all types of acne, including severe or cystic breakouts?
Blue light therapy has been shown in clinical studies to reduce mild to moderate acne. While blue light therapy may offer supportive benefits for severe or cystic acne, it’s not a standalone treatment. Severe acne often involves deeper inflammation that typically requires prescription medications or more intensive dermatological care. Always consult a healthcare professional to determine the best treatment plan for your skin type and acne severity.
Are there any side effects of blue light therapy?
Blue Light Therapy is generally safe, but mild side effects can include dryness, temporary redness, or light sensitivity. Headaches occasionally reported, usually in individuals prone to migraines or light sensitivity.
How often should I undergo blue light therapy sessions?
We recommend blue light therapy 3-5 times per week to achieve maximum results. Once desired results are achieved, you may reduce frequency to 1–2 times per week for upkeep.
Can blue light therapy be used on sensitive skin?
Yes! Because light therapy helps improve skin function and restore balance it’s perfect for all skin types. However, we always recommend checking with your doctor first if you are unsure.
How long does a blue light therapy session last?
A blue light therapy session is only 20 minutes.
Can I wear makeup after blue light therapy?
Yes, you can wear makeup right after blue light therapy. However, make sure you have a clean, bare face during your session!
Does blue light therapy help with acne scars?
Blue light may offer some support in calming inflammation, but red light therapy is more effective for the appearance of acne scars. EverSun®’s LightStim Blue Light Photo Facial combines both blue and red light therapy, making it an option for clearing and preventing acne as well as supporting skin healing and improving the appearance of acne scars.
Is there any downtime after blue light therapy?
Nope! Indulge in a quick 20-minute session, then go about your day as normal right after!
What’s the difference between EverSun®’s Blue Light Therapy technology and at-home “blue light” acne treatments?
Professional blue light therapy devices—like those used at EverSun®—are FDA-cleared and clinically proven for safety and efficacy. They emit precise wavelengths (typically 415 nm) that effectively target acne-causing bacteria. In contrast, most at-home devices lack regulatory approval and use light sources that haven’t been verified as true blue light, compromising their effectiveness and safety.
Why is EverSun®’s Blue Light Therapy device more effective than other acne treatments and Blue Light devices?
EverSun®’s LightStim Blue Light Photo Facial features LightStim MultiWave® LED light technology, which combines therapeutic red and blue light. The blue light targets acne-causing bacteria, while the red light supports skin rejuvenation by boosting circulation. It also supports collagen and elastin production, which may help improve the appearance of acne scarring and reduce redness. Our LightStim Blue Light Photo Facial is FDA-cleared for mild to moderate acne.
Infrared + Salt Therapy
What is infrared salt therapy and how does it work?
Infrared salt therapy, or halotherapy, combines dry salt and infrared heat in a controlled environment. Salt therapy involves breathing air containing fine dry salt particles. Many guests find it relaxing and enjoy the sensory experience. Research on halotherapy for specific respiratory or skin conditions is still limited, and it is not a treatment for any medical condition. If you have a diagnosed respiratory condition, check with your physician before your first session.
What are the benefits of infrared therapy?
Infrared heat raises your core temperature and promotes a deep sweat. Research has found that certain toxic elements, including cadmium, lead, arsenic, and mercury, are measurably excreted through sweat, in some cases at concentrations higher than in blood or urine. Sweating is one of several ways the body clears these elements, alongside the liver and kidneys. Infrared light also supports collagen production. Sitting in infrared heat raises your heart rate, similar to the response your body has to moderate activity, though it isn’t a substitute for exercise. Most guests come for the relaxation and post-workout recovery.
What are the benefits of infrared body wraps?
Infrared body wrap sessions raise your core temperature and induce heavy sweating over a 45-minute session. Individual experiences vary, and we don’t make specific calorie-burn claims. The session is designed for relaxation and recovery rather than as a weight-loss treatment. We don’t claim fat reduction or cellulite removal. For body-composition goals, we’d point you toward diet and exercise, with infrared as a recovery complement.
How long is an infrared + salt therapy session?
An infrared salt therapy session is only 20 minutes. An infrared body wrap session is 45 minutes.
Can infrared salt therapy help with breathing issues or allergies?
You’ll breathe air containing fine dry salt particles in a calm, controlled environment. Many guests find the experience relaxing. Salt therapy is not a treatment for any medical condition, and research on halotherapy for specific respiratory or skin conditions is still limited. If you have a diagnosed respiratory condition or allergies, check with your physician before your first session.
Is infrared therapy good for detox and weight loss?
We don’t position infrared as a weight-loss treatment. Infrared sessions raise your core temperature and promote heavy sweating, and most guests come for the relaxation and post-workout recovery. For body-composition goals, we’d point you toward diet and exercise, with infrared as a recovery complement.
What should I wear during an infrared therapy session?
For an infrared body wrap session you’ll wear the clear FIT Coat™ provided in the room. Most clients prefer to undress before putting on the FIT Coat™. If you choose to keep you clothes on underneath the coat, be aware that they will be drenched with sweat by the end of your session! For an infrared salt therapy booth session, we recommend wearing athletic attire like shorts and a tank top.
How often should I use infrared therapy for optimal results?
Most guests visit once or twice a week and find that the benefits build with regularity. We don’t recommend session frequencies for medical conditions or for weight-related goals. If you’re managing a diagnosed condition, your physician is the right person to advise on that. Stay well hydrated before and after every session.
Are there any side effects of infrared or salt therapy?
With infrared salt therapy you may see slight salt residue on your clothes, inside your nose and on your body. You may also experience some coughing during the session, which is normal. With infrared body wraps, we recommend staying well hydrated before, during and after your session. Possible side effects include dehydration, heat discomfort, dizziness, low blood pressure, skin irritation, airway irritation, and heat exhaustion.
How soon will I notice results from infrared salt therapy?
Repetition is key with all of our services. Many guests notice a difference after a single session, and most tell us the effects build with regular visits.
How regularly should I use salt therapy for maximum benefit?
Most guests visit once or twice a week and find that the relaxation benefits build with regularity. We don’t recommend frequencies for medical conditions – if you’re managing a diagnosed condition, your physician is the right person to advise on that.
Is infrared therapy safe for everyone?
Infrared therapy is widely considered safe and is well tolerated by most people, and is commonly used for relaxation, easing muscle and joint discomfort, and supporting circulation. If you have any ongoing health concerns or medical conditions, including heat sensitivity or cardiovascular conditions, please consult your healthcare provider before using infrared therapy. For your safety and comfort, it’s important to stay well hydrated before and after every session.
Is salt therapy safe for everyone?
Salt therapy is generally well tolerated by most people. Inhaled concentrated salt can irritate the airways for some individuals. If you have a diagnosed respiratory condition, an active infection, or high blood pressure, consult a healthcare provider before starting regular sessions.
